The Francisco Coloane House Museum is part of the sustained intention of the Illustrious Municipality of Quemchi, to disseminate and value the legacy of the illustrious son of the commune, the writer Francisco Coloane, for which he has worked for years in this work with duty to promote this space dedicated to the author.

During its first year work has been done on the fitting out of this house, exhibiting biographical pieces of the author's daily life, also creating an environment conducive to carrying out literary gatherings and cultural activities. Likewise, an archive has been made with publications and articles related to the writer, and a collection of editions in different languages ​​of his work.
Currently it works thanks to the management of the Quemchi Public Library, who are in charge of keeping this place alive and attended by guides who introduce the author's life and work.
